Small Stars Crochet

I used Red Heart to make these and a Susan Bates size H (5.5 mm) hook to make them.

These are small and typically work up in under 3 minutes.

Crocheting a small star is a fun and simple project! Here's a beginner-friendly pattern for creating a small star to use as an applique, hair clip (attach it to a barrette), etc.

Small Star Pattern:

Round 1:
Start with a slip knot on your hook.
Ch 2 and join with a sl st to form a ring (you can also use a magic ring if preferred - if you use a MR be sure to anchor your stitch with a sc).
DC, ch 2. DC
First point made.
Repeat 4 times for a 5 point star.
Join to first point with a sl st.

If you used a magic ring, this is when you will pull it tight to close the hole.:

Squish your star points to make them more defined

Use a yarn or tapestry needle to weave in any loose ends.

Congratulations, you've made a small star!

Let me know if you need further clarification or any more tips!
